Freestyle seminar

Recently Kili and I attended a one day freestyle disc seminar to help us with our disc skills and putting together a routine. We had a lot of fun with a great group of people and dogs. We improved some of the skills we already have and developed a few new ones.

Putting together a routine is a lot harder than it sounds. You need to have a bunch of different skills together that are solid and reliable. And then you need to try to figure out ways to string them together so that they flow nicely.

In our case there's also the matter of keeping Kili interested long enough to put together an entire routine. Right now we're just at the stage where we try to put some sequences together.

Here's a bit of video from one of our sessions:

Now we've got a week to put together a routine before the fun match next Sunday! Eep! I guess we'll just try to get a couple of sequences solid and string them together loosely. We'll see how it goes, and hopefully we'll have the starts of a routine!
